The Hrat GNU/Linux Operation System (OS) will be based on Debian GNU/Linux. It will be fully localized and translated to Armenian language. It will be used Debian's debian-installer. The OS will be FREE and the packages will conform to Free Software Foundation and Open Source rules. The "Armenian Linux Translation Project" is the sub project of the Hrat project. Which works on Linux software (packages) translations. Now the translate.debian.am web-site is online, which give an opportunity for translators to make translations on-line. It is the official web-site of "Armenian Linux Translation Project". At the same time we are doing some translations. Especialy we are working on debian-installer. After that we will be working on the base system packages. The Hrat GNU/Linux first version code name will be "mek". Which will contain only debian-installer and the base system packages(without GUI). Money donation Anyone can donate money as much as they can. The money from donations will be used for specialists and for other project needs.
